2012 NAACP Award On June 15, 2012, the Foundation was honored at the NAACP's Hester V. King Freedom Fund dinner with an award for “Extraordinary Commitment to the Growth and Development of our Community." Bob Ross, President of the Prince George’s County Chapter of the NAACP, presented the award, which was accepted by Foundation Board member Vicki Forsht Williams (65 and former faculty). Vicki reported that "Mr. Ross, as was evident at the dinner, works tirelessly for the NAACP and has been a very productive leader of that organization. His involvement with the Surrattsville community has been just as energetic and productive. I felt very honored that the Foundation was recognized at such an important event." Many thanks to the NAACP for this extraordinarily kind recognition of the work and mission of the Foundation!
